Vers des réparations au titre du colonialisme?with Michel Erpelding
In recent years, under pressure from civil society, the discourse of many Western states regarding their colonial past has changed considerably. In particular, the issue of reparations for colonialism is no longer taboo. After providing an overview of the terms of the debate, particularly from the perspective of international law, this conference will review the measures taken by some states to address injustices related to their colonial past. The question of the alleged legality of colonial policies at the time they were implemented will also be addressed.
