Hidden Bolitho Blane – Meeting my alter egoTwo-Days Workshop for adults
Bolitho Blane, a smuggler who disappeared without trace in 1936, is considered Robert Brandy's alter ego. Up to this day, the artist refers to this subject in many of his works. But who is behind the fictitious figure of Dennis Wheatley's mystery novel Murder Off Miami (1936)? Is it based on a real character? Are there any connections with Robert Brandy that are not just random? After visiting the exhibition and discussing Bolitho Blane's influence on Brandy's work, a mixed media triptych is created combining paint, charcoal, chalk, wood, ink and collage. In doing so, the participants are invited to address their individual alter egos.
