Wilfried Rosendahl Mummies – Archives of Life and their Research
- 22.10.2015 - 18:00 > 19:30 - German
What did people eat thousands of years ago? To which illnesses did they succumb? What medicines did they take? Did they take drugs?
The answers to the questions can be found not just in Egypt’s mummies but in those of other continents and cultures as well.
Within the frame of the German Mummy Project conducted at the Reiss-Engelhorn-Museums in Mannheim, anthropologists, doctors, chemists, physicists, geneticists and other specialists studied numerous mummies from all over the world, cajoling many secrets out of these silent witnesses of life. Some of the most interesting findings will be presented in this lecture with a pictorial walk through the world of mummies.
Lecture in German.
